How to Add New Channels to My Receiver

Many other channels are available on the Galaxy 19 satellite. If you have a GEOSATpro DVR1100c, DSR100c or 200c receiver, the Christian and family friendly channels will be automatically updated each week.
These free online instructions are provided as a courtesy to owners of older receivers which require manual programming to add channels. The Glorystar telephone technical support team is available to provide telephone technical support for GEOSATpro and Fortec Star products at no charge for during the products warranty period. You may renew telephone support for out of warranty equipment sold by Glorystar or Adventist Satellite for a minimal fee of $19.99 per year. Unfortunately, the Glorystar telephone support team is not available to provide telephone support for Manhattan, Topfield or other brands not sold by Glorystar or Adventist Satellite. If you need assistance with these other brands and models, please contact the company where equipment was purchased for technical support.
Before you begin to update and add these channels to your system, please follow this link Glorystar Channels to view a channel list. The channel data must be manually entered and scanned into these older legacy receivers.
Note the following information for each channel that you wish to add:

- Symbol Rate: __________
Note: The Galaxy 19 satellite has had several names through the years. This satellite may have a different name in your receiver, but it is the same satellite. Previous names for this satellite include: Telstar 5, T5, Intelsat America 5, IA5, Galaxy 25, G25, Galaxy 19 or G19.

GEOSATpro DVR1100c / DSR100c /
DSR200c
receivers automatically update from the satellite and no manual channel
programming is necessary.
If you are not receiving the new channels or new
channels are not automatically added to your receiver, verify that the Signal
Quality (Q) reading on Cornerstone (channel 113) is at least
50% and you are seeing television programming. If the Signal Quality is
not at least 50%, the dish will need to be adjusted to increase the
Signal Quality (Q) reading.
To perform a Manual Update:
Using your GEOSATpro
remote control, press Menu button
Left Arrow to Accessory Screen
Down Arrow to OTA
Press OK
Verify Automatic Update setting is ON
(if OFF, Press Right Arrow
to ON)
Press Down Arrow to Update Now
Press OK
Screen displays" Do you want to update S/W?"
Press OK
After OTA update, the receiver will restart.
Press Menu button
Press VOL up button (the button that points to the
right) three times to “UTILITY” menu
Press the Channel up button (the button that points
to the up) to highlight “FACTORY DEFAULT”
Press OK button to display “ARE YOU SURE
TO LOAD FACTORY DEFAULT?”
Press OK button to restart the receiver.
Press OK to select ENGLISH
Press OK to select GLORYSTAR
Press OK to select correct
“TIMEZONE” then press OK
Press VOL up button to set “DAYLIGHT
SAVINGS” ON or OFF
Press the Channel down button to highlight
“NEXT”
Press OK button to display “CONNECT COAX
CABLE” screen
Verify Signal Quality reading of at least 50% on
3ABN (channel 106) and on Cornerstone (channel 113)
Press orange Signal button to remove signal quality
meter
The receiver date and time is automatically set by
the satellite. Place the receiver on Channel 1 for at least 15 seconds
to update
Note: Failure to have Signal Quality of at
least 50% and displaying television programming on Cornerstone (channel
113) will prevent the receiver from automatically updating and adding
new channels.

1. Using your Manhattan DSR 1500
remote control
press “SETUP” button (located above the #3 button)
2. Press *down arrow and highlight “SYSTEM
SETTING”
3. Press OK button
4. Press *down arrow to “TP
FREQUENCY”
5. Using the number buttons on the remote control
enter the Transponder Frequency numbers (example: 11842)
6. Press *down arrow to select
‘POLARIZATION” and select Horizontal or Vertical by
pressing the *left or right arrow
7. Press *down arrow to ‘SYMBOL
RATE”
8. Using the number buttons on the remote control
enter the Symbol Rate numbers (example: 22000)
9. Press *down arrow to
“Start Search” (there will be quotation marks
“” on either end of Start Search when it is
selected)
10. Press the OK button
11. A box will pop up to the right. When you see the
word “Store” at the bottom of that box press OK
button
12. Screen will display “CHANNEL DATA IS
BEING UPDATED” then return to a TV viewing screen.

that box, in yellow, make sure it shows an unused TP (example:

“FTA/Scrambled” and press the Volume up button (the
button that points to the right) one time and it should read
“FTA Only”.
19. Press Channel down button to select
“Start Search”
20. Press OK button and a
“Searching” screen will appear.
21. When Channel Scan is completed press OK, the
Channel Search Screen will appear.
22. Press OK to continue.
23. Press Exit button to exit the menus and view the
new programming.

Fortec Star Mercury II - Glorystar One
or Two LNBF sytem.
1. Tune your Fortec Star Mercury II
receiver on TBN (Channel 2) and verify that programming is showing.
If programming is not showing on TBN (Channel 2) troubleshooting will
be necessary before continuing this process.
2. Using your Fortec Star Mercury II remote control
press “Menu” button to go to "Installation" screen
and “ANTENNA SETUP” highlighted yellow.
3. Press the Channel down button twice to highlight
“TP SCAN”
4. Press OK button to go to “TP
SCAN” screen
5. Press the Channel down button to highlight
“FREQUENCY”
6. Using the number buttons on the remote control
enter the Transponder Frequency (example: 11842)
7. Press Channel down button to highlight
“POLARITY” and push the Volume up button (the
button that points to the right) to select
“Horizontal or Vertical”
8. Press Channel down to
“SYMBOLRATE”
9. Using the number buttons on the remote control
enter the Symbol Rate numbers (example: 22000)
10. On the bottom of the screen you will see two
bars, one says “SIGNAL LEVEL” and the other
“SIGNAL QUALITY”. If the dish has been properly
installed the Signal Quality reading will be at least 50%. If not,
troubleshooting will be necessary before continuing this process. If
you or an installer need the exact aiming coordinates for the
satellite, please visit website http://www.GeoSatFinder.com.
11. Once you have the “Signal
Quality” bar with the highest strength (at least 50%), press
Yellow button to begin scan.
12. When Channel Scan is completed, pop up window
displaying "Do you want to save?" with "Yes" highlighted Yellow.
13. Press OK button to save. Programming will
automatically be displayed.
14. Please, note that the new channels will be on
higher channel numbers.

1. Using your Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra remote
control push “Menu” button
2. Press VOL up button (the button that points to
the right) to select “INSTALLATION” screen with
"Antenna
Setup" highlighted.
3. Press Channel up or down button to highlight
“Advanced Scan”
4. Press OK button and a window will pop up on the
screen “FTA”
5. Press OK button to edit the "Selected Satellite"
window
6. If needed, press the Channel down button (the
button that points down) to highlight “IA5/Ku
97.0W”
7. Press OK button to enter the “ADVANCED
SCAN” screen and “DOWN FREQUENCY” will be
highlighted
8. Using the numbers buttons on the remote control
enter the Transponder Frequency numbers (example: 11842)
9. Press Channel down to “Symbol
Rate”
10. With the number buttons on the remote control
enter the Symbol Rate numbers (example: 22000)
11. Press Channel down to
“Polarity” and push the Volume up button (the
button that points to the right) to select “Horizontal or
vertical”

6. Press the Channel down button to highlight

8. Press the Channel down button to highlight
“SATELLTE NAME”
9. Press VOL up button (the button that points to
the right) repeatedly until “IA-5/KU” is displayed
10. Press the Channel down button to highlight
“TP FREQUENCY”
11. Using the numbers buttons on the remote control
enter the Transponder Frequency (example: 11842)
12. If necessary, press Channel down button to
highlight “POLARIZATION” and press the VOL up
button (the button that points to the right) to select
“Horizontal or Vertical”
13. Press Channel down to “SYMBOL
RATE”
14. With the number buttons on the remote control
enter the Symbol Rate numbers (example: 22000)
15. Press Channel down button to highlight
“Scan” and push the VOL up button until
“FREE ONLY” is displayed.
16. On the left side of the screen you will see a
“SIGNAL QUALITY” strength indication bar. If the
Glorystar “Dual LNBF” dish is correctly installed a
level of at least 30% should be displayed. If not, troubleshooting will
be necessary before continuing this process. If you or an installer
need the exact aiming coordinates for the satellite, please visit
website http://www.GeoSatFinder.com.
17. Once you have the signal quality bar with the
highest strength, press OK button to enter the “CHANNEL
SCANNING” screen.
18. When Channel Scan is completed, press Channel up
or down button to highlight “3ABN” and press OK to
view programming.

satellite receiver on Channel 1
2. Using the remote control press the
“MENU” button to display the "Channel
Edit" screen
3. Press Right Arrow button to display "Setup"
screen with "CH Search" highlighted
4. Press Enter button to display "Channel Search"
screen with "Satellite" highlighted
5. Press Down Arrow button to highlight "Frequency"
6. Using the numeric keypad, enter the Transponder
Frequency (example: 11842)
7. Press Down Arrow button to highlight "Symbol
Rate"
8. Using the numeric keypad, enter the Symbol Rate
numbers (example: 22000)
9. Press Down Arrow button to highlight
"Polarization"
10. Press Enter button to select "Horizontal or
Vertical"
11. Press *down arrow to “STORE”
12. Press Down Arrow button to
“Scan”
13. Press Enter button to scan for new channels.
When the scan is completed a popup window appears " Scan Message: Scan
Complete"
14. Press Return button 3 times to display a popup
window "Confirm Save" with "OK" highlighted
15. Press Enter button. The receiver will restart
and the new channels will be added to your channel list/ Please note
that the satellite name will be displayed as AMC4, but the channels are
actually from satellite Galaxy 19.
If your receiver brand or model is not listed, please follow the
instructions provided with your receiver on how to scan additional
channels.
