Before attempting to program new channels it may be necessary to make adjustments to the dish and/or LNBF to obtain a strong signal that reflects good signal and quality levels. Poor signal quality will affect the ability to program and properly receive additional channels.
 
Adding New Transponder Information
On Satellite AMC-4

1. Using the remote control, press the Menu key
2. Go to INSTALLATION, press the Enter key
3. Enter Passcode 0000
4. Go to TP Edit / Scan, press the Enter key
5. Highlight SATELLITE NAME, press the VOL (Right or Left) Arrow key to select the satellite. (i.e.AMC4 Ku for ATN / LifeTalk )
6. Go to TP FREQUENCY, press the VOL (Right or Left) Arrow key to select the frequency or enter the frequency (i.e.11983 for ATN / LifeTalk )
7. Go to POLARIZATION press the VOL (Right or Left) Arrow key to select the polarity (Horizontal for ATN / LifeTalk) 
8. Go to SYMBOL RATE, enter the symbol rate ( i.e. 5900 for ATN / LifeTalk )
9. Go to SCAN , press the VOL (Right or Left) Arrow key to FREE only (FREE + SCRAMBLED for the Hope Church Channel), press OK 
10. Upon completion of the scan press EXIT several times until the receiver displays "Saving Changes Please Wait"

In a moment, the receiver will reset and display all channels

On Satellite AMC-4

1.  Using the remote control, press the Menu key

2.  Go to INSTALLATION, press the OK key

2.  Go to CHANNEL SEARCH, press the OK key

3.  Go to TP FREQUENCY, enter the frequency ( i.e.11983 for ATN / LifeTalk )

4.  Go to SYMBOL RATE, enter the symbol rate ( i.e. 5900 for ATN / LifeTalk )

5.  Verify that the POLARIZATION is correct ( Horizontal for ATN / LifeTalk )

6.  Go to START SEARCH, press OK 

7.  Upon completion of the scan the system will prompt for saving the changes, press OK 

8.  Press EXIT to view the new channels

FTA Satellite Receiver Programming

This guide will assist in programming your receiver to enable reception of 3ABN Television, 3ABN Latino, 3ABN Radio, RADIO 74, ATN HOPE, ATN Business, LifeTalk Radio, LLBN and many other Free To Air ( FTA ) broadcasters.
 

Before attempting to program new channels it may be necessary to make adjustments to the dish and/or LNB to obtain a strong signal that reflects good signal and quality levels. Poor signal quality will affect the ability to program and properly receive additional channels.

Adding New Transponder Information
On Satellite AMC-4 (GE-4)

1. Using the remote control, press the MENU key, then press the right VOL key, the INSTALL box will highlight.

2. Press the down CH key once, and highlight 2. CHANNEL SEARCH. Now press the OK key, and the CHANNEL SEARCH window will open.

3. Press the down CH key 4 times until TP DATA is highlighted, then press the OK key. A TRANSPONDER DATA window will appear, on the right, with TP1:(xxxxxx) at the top in yellow.

4. Press the right VOL key until  TP(x): USER DEFINED appears in yellow.

5. Press the down CH key once, and highlight FREQ. Enter the frequency (i.e. 11983 for ATN / LifeTalk) in the box.

6. Press the down CH key twice, and highlight Symbol Rate (S/R). Type the Symbol rate (i.e. 05900 for ATN / LifeTalk).

7. Skip to step 8 if the Polarization is correct ( Horizontal for all of the Adventist channels). If it is not correct, press the Down CH key to highlight POLARIZATION and change.

8. It will take up to 15 seconds for the SIGNAL and QUALITY bars to turn green. Press the down CH key several times until STORE is highlighted in yellow. Press the OK key once and the TRANSPONDER DATA window will disappear.

9. Press the down CH key twice and highlight START. Press the OK key once and the receiver will automatically store the new channel(s), power off and repower.

Repeat these steps for each transponder that is to be programmed.
 

Deleting / Programming Transponder Information

Caution: If any channels ( LLBN, ATN, 3ABN,RADIO 74, etc. ) are programmed into your receiver this method WILL ERASE all programming and the information must be reprogrammed!

1. Using the remote control, press the MENU key, then press the down CH key four times, the MASTER RESET box will highlight .

2. Press the OK key twice and wait until the receiver is done resetting. The receiver will now be on the OSD SETUP menu.

4. Press the ESC key four times, until the CHANNEL SEARCHwindow opens.

5. Press the down CH key four times until TP DATA is highlighted, then press the OK key. A TRANSPONDER DATA window will appear, on the right, with TP1:(xxxxxx) at the top in yellow. 

6. Press the right VOL key until  TP(x): USER DEFINED appears in yellow.

7. Press the down CH key once, and highlight FREQ. Enter the frequency (i.e. 11983 for ATN / LifeTalk) in the box.

8. Press the down CH key twice, and highlight Symbol Rate (S/R). Type the Symbol rate (i.e. 05900 for ATN / LifeTalk).

9. Skip to step 10 if the Polarization is correct ( Horizontal for all of the Adventist channels). If it is not correct, press the Down CH key to highlight POLARIZATION and change.

FTA Satellite Receiver Programming

This guide will assist in programming your receiver to enable reception of 3ABN Television, 3ABN Latino, 3ABN Radio, RADIO 74, ATN HOPE, ATN Business, LifeTalk Radio, LLBN and many other Free To Air ( FTA ) broadcasters.

Before attempting to program new channels it may be necessary to make adjustments to the dish and/or LNB to obtain a strong signal that reflects good signal and quality levels. Poor signal quality will affect the ability to program and properly receive additional channels. A signal of 50% on a Manhattan 1500 will usually not provide adequate signal to allow a search.

 
Adding New Transponder Information
On Satellite AMC-4 (GE-4)

1. Using the remote control, press the SETUP key once, then the CH DOWN key once, the CHANNEL SEARCH will highlight. Press the OK key, and the CHANNEL SEARCH window will appear.

2. Press the CH DOWN key three times, the first number is highlighted in the TP FREQUENCY box. Enter the frequency (i.e. 11983 for ATN / LifeTalk) in the box.

3. Press the CH DOWN key until Symbol Rate (S/R) is highlighted. Type the Symbol rate (i.e. 05900 for ATN / LifeTalk).

4. Skip to step 5 if the Polarization is correct ( Horizontal for all of the Adventist channels). If it is not correct, press the Down CH key to highlight POLARIZATION and change.

5.  It may take up to 15 seconds for the SIGNAL STRENGTH bar to turn green or yellow. If the signal strength does not change to yellow or green you may need to reenter the TP FREQUENCY and reduce the number entered by 1000 mhz (i.e. 11983 minus 1000 = 10983).

6.  Press the CH DOWN button until quotation marks  " "  appear on each side of the words START SEARCH.  Press the OK key once, and a channel list will appear. Now press the OK key again. This will store the new channels. 

Repeat these steps for each transponder that is to be programmed.

Deleting / Programming Transponder Information

Caution: If any channels ( LLBN, ATN, 3ABN, RADIO 74, etc. ) are programmed into your receiver this method WILL ERASE the programming and all information must be reprogrammed!

1. Press the SETUP key once, then the CH DOWN key until EDIT CHANNEL LIST is highlighted.

2. Press the OK key once, and a new window will appear to the left.

3. Continue to press the OK key until all the channels listed are gone.

4. Press the CH DOWN key once, which will move the quotation marks off of DELETE and put them on STORE.

5. Press the OK key once, and the window will disappear.

6. Press the CH UP key to highlight CHANNEL SEARCH.

7. Press the OK key, and the CHANNEL SEARCH window will appear.

8. If D1:P1:GE4 (101.0W) appears in the blue bar, then proceed to Step 9 below. 

If D1:P2:NONE appears in blue at the top of the window press the DOUBLE ARROW DOWN key once (it is the button just above the number 2 key), and then D1:P1:GE4 (101.0W) should now appear.

9. Press the CH DOWN key three times, the first number is highlighted in the TP FREQUENCY box. Enter the frequency (i.e. 11983for ATN / LifeTalk) in the box.

10. Press the CH DOWN key until Symbol Rate (S/R) is highlighted. Type the Symbol rate (i.e. 05900for ATN / LifeTalk).

11. Skip to step 12 if the Polarization is correct ( Horizontal for all of the Adventist channels). If it is not correct, press the Down CH key to highlight POLARIZATION and change.

12.   It may take up to 15 seconds for the SIGNAL STRENGTH bar to turn green or yellow. Press the CH DOWN key until quotation marks  " "  appear on each side of the words START SEARCH.  Press the OK key once, and a channel list will appear. Now press the OK key again. This will store the new channels.

Before attempting to program new channels it may be necessary to make adjustments to the dish and/or LNB to obtain a strong signal that reflects good signal and quality levels. Poor signal quality will affect the ability to program and properly receive additional channels.
 

Adding New Transponder Information
On Satellite AMC-4

1.  Using the remote control, press the Menu key

2.  Use Right arrow key to select  SETUP screen (CH SEARCH icon will be highlighted), press the ENTER key

3.  Use Down arrow key to select  TP Index

4.  Select  New, press the ENTER key

5.  Use Down arrow key to select  Frequency, enter the frequency ( i.e.11983 for ATN / LifeTalk )

6.  Use Down arrow key to select SYMBOL RATE, enter the symbol rate ( i.e. 5900 for ATN / LifeTalk )

7.  Use Down arrow key to select Polarization, press the ENTER key  to toggle ( i.e. Horizontal for ATN / LifeTalk )

8.  Use Down arrow key to select the red SCAN button at the bottom of the screen, press the Enter key

9.  Upon completion of the scan the system will display SCAN COMPLETE

10. Press EXIT 3 times and a prompt will display to Save Changes to Database select OK, press the ENTER key.

Channels are now programmed and ready to view.
